The Cumberland County Library System is a great place to work. The system and its local libraries employ over 160 people. About 20 of these positions are professional librarians and the rest are library assistants, clerks or custodial support. Most positions are part-time. Each library is an independent, non-profit institution and staff are employees of the local library. The library system's administrative office staff are employed by Cumberland County government. |
The John Graham Library is seeking a part-time Children's Librarian/Co-Assistant Director. Duties include planning and holding the following events: Weekly Preschool Storytime on Tuesday mornings, which includes reading stories, making crafts, and other activities in a large group setting; the summer Science Camp; outreach/school visits; and other events throughout the year. In addition, you will assist patrons at the circulation desk, prepare items for delivery and Interlibrary Loan, and other duties as assigned.

We are looking for detail-oriented individuals with a strong customer service background who believe in providing award winning service with a smile. Work duties include checking materials in and out, registering customers for library cards, collecting payments, placing hold requests for items and pulling materials to fulfill requests, shelving library materials, and handling customer service issues. Must be available to work 12+ hours a week during daytime, evening, and weekend hours of operation. EOE.
Classification: Part-Time/Non - Exempt
Hours: 12+ hours per week includes daytime, evening, and weekend hours.
Pay: $15.30/hour
Join Fredricksen Library as a Custodian. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to help keep our library beautiful. Work duties include performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance functions related to maintaining the appearance and functionality of the library. Must be available to work 20 hours a week. EOE.
Classification: Part time. Non-Exempt.
Hours: 20 hours a week. Weekdays Monday-Friday 3 pm to 7 pm.
Pay: $15.30 per hour
