Our Executive Director, Lizzy Seidel, is the recipient of the 2026 New Professional Librarian Honors Award from the Pennsylvania Library Association! This award honors a librarian who achieved their Master's degree within the last six years and is making a significant difference already. Before becoming a library director, Lizzy worked in youth services, was a branch manager, and was the District Consultant for York County Libraries. These library experiences have contributed to her wisdom, commitment to intellectual freedom, and passion for libraries.

Get ready for winter at the October Book Sale on October 17 and 18! Browse rows of books and a large selection of puzzles and tabletop games, local history, DVDs, and CDs. The Book Sale will be at the Learning and Book Sale Center on 45 West Allen Street, Mechanicsburg.
Every Wednesday in October, eat at either of JoJo's locations in Mechanicsburg between 11:00 am and 10:00 pm, and they will donate 15% of the cost of your meal to the Friends of Simpson Library. Carry-out and dine-in are included in the fundraiser. Make sure to bring the dine-out flyer!
